Cocoa enterprises in Ondo state: Farmers/buyers perception of involvement and constraints

Cocoa enterprise is very critical as a source of livelihood the people in rural areas region where it produced account for high proportion household income. production Nigeria essentially on small-scale level and mainly Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo Ogun. Over 50% total quantity cocoa export or utilized locally per annum are from Ondo State. Of global production, Africa beans has declined 71.8% 2007/2008 to 68% 2009/2010. This study focuses enterprises ondo state, farmers/buyers perception involvement well constraints faced by them. Results show that majority respondents had at least basic primary education advocated UNESCO. see entrepreneur do have lucrative business, they not agree entrepreneurs better than their counterparts other enterprises. There an engagement non-farm occupations many farmers which serves means augment welfare. A larger (89.3%) indicated weather climate variability, limited selling opportunities, lack processing facilities international market fluctuations major constraint enterprise.
